BACKGROUND

Biography

Patrícia Cardoso de Andrade is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where she also teaches at undergraduate level in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She completed her PhD in Electrical Engineering, specialising in biomedical engineering, at UNICAMP in 2022.

Her research covers focused ultrasound, computational modelling and biophysics. During a research placement at Tor Vergata in 2022, she developed an in silico model for designing low-intensity focused ultrasound exposures in the brain. She also holds degrees in physics, electrical and computer engineering, and education.
